I’m not even close to being a foodie, but I can’t get enough of these off-the-wall food truck ventures. I just wrote a post last month about the wicked food truck in Sacramento, and now we’ve got the crazy bacon truck in San Francisco.

Although San Francisco is known for its restaurants, apparently, this is its first bacon truck. Go figure.

I guess this says something about the profit potential of food trucks. I’ve noticed two in my immediate area opening within a month of each other in a state whose economy is in the tank and other companies are fleeing the Golden State.

Maybe the popularity of these food truck businesses comes from a combination of the fact people need to eat, trucks are cheaper to operate than a large restaurant space (especially in San Francisco) and the more these trucks drive around, the more free advertising they get.

And they’re cool.
