The objective of this announcement is to ensure that the candidates do not spend exorbitantly on their election campaigns.
On the downside, people working for printing presses are facing the dire consequences, as they haven’t reaped gold this time during the election season.
Previously, candidates would spend unbelievable amounts on their election manifestos, but the tables have now turned.

Farmingdale-based Telephonics Corp. announced Wednesday it is opening a new engineering facility in Huntsville, Ala. – its first location off Long Island.
The facility, located in Cummings Research Park, will house engineers from the company’s radar systems and communications and electronic systems divisions, as well as from subsidiary Systems Engineering Group. The chair of a board that will establish a health exchange in Connecticut, Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman, said Friday that claims that the board is biased in favor of insurers are unfounded.
“I have spent my career fighting for taxpayers and consumers and no one should have a shred of doubt that I will continue to do so as chair of the exchange,” Wyman said. “Any claim of bias toward insurers is unfounded and unsubstantiated and not based on any action of any member of the exchange.”
A consumer advocate is calling on federal officials to oust former insurance executives from the board that will oversee how health exchanges are formed in Connecticut.

For the last week my inbox has been bombarded with pitches from businesses, large and small, helpfully informing me that April 22 is Earth Day, and explaining how their companies are commemorating the event. Don’t get me wrong; some of their products sound pretty cool, like the ecobutton from Staples promotional products, which, at the press of a button, puts your computer in “ecomode” (more energy-efficient than sleep mode).
I’ve learned some interesting facts as well. According to the folks at Nitro PDF Software, every person on the planet consumes about 123 pounds (or 12,500 sheets) of paper a year.

In the parlance of parenthood, the latest master plan to save Europe from economic annihilation is about the German and French parents imposing boundaries on the poorly behaved smaller children in the European Union.
They set out their parental plan in Brussels at the weekend; a strict set of fiscal parameters all need to abide by.
In theory it sounds fine.
